That said, has anyone played Two Worlds II and its magic system? I don't own it and I don't really plan to buy it and play it. So seeing Two Worlds II with their own system, I want to know how theirs is done so it's a good starting point with thinking how a mod like that could be organized too. This is before the actual coding problems coming into my mind. One of the major problems I had just in the write-up stage was deciding on a syntax and standardized system to make Dragon Shouts be logical in their effects. On a larger level, would be nice to be able to craft our own spells again. But I have no idea how flexible Skyrim lets you manipulate the magic system (Apocalypse Spells mod can apparently combine and remix spells with its own system but I haven't tried it). Originally I was planning to see how feasible it was to make a Dragon Shout mod that lets you actually remix individual words. I've never played it, but the way he says it's so customizable and works with the physics system of the game, I checked it out a bit more:Īnd I honestly have no clue what I'm looking at with their system, but it looks really involved, which makes it look awesome.Īnyway to the crux of it. Apparently it has a spell crafting system that's really good. But from the video, turns out it has a lot of really good looking content. While watching some old Angry Joe reviews, I stumbled on his Two Worlds II review: īecause of the notoriety of the original, I didn't bother even thinking about the sequel.
